چکیده

Abstract In addition to the general advantages of additive manufacturing technologies, such as resource-efficient production highly complex components, metal binder jetting (MBJ) process enables a more cost-effective components. However, design freedoms gained by manufacturing, and MBJ in particular, are also accompanied new restrictions for component design. While large number guidelines already available established processes, imposes additional requirements on design, which currently only inadequately covered literature. Therefore, this paper presents development derivation first rules using martensitic stainless steel (17–4 PH). way, provides methodology deriving regardless material. total, 13 have emerged from this, part both confirm existing guidelines, but extend them.

An Exploration of Binder Jetting of Copper

The ability to fabricate geometrically complex copper shapes via Additive Manufacturing (AM) could have a significant impact on the design and performance of thermal management systems and structural electronics. In this research a Binder Jetting AM process (ExOne R2) was used to fabricate green parts made of high purity copper powder. Once printed, the green part was sintered under a reducing ...

Additive Manufacturing Processes: Selective Laser Melting, Electron Beam Melting and Binder Jetting—Selection Guidelines

Additive manufacturing (AM), also known as 3D printing or rapid prototyping, is gaining increasing attention due to its ability to produce parts with added functionality and increased complexities in geometrical design, on top of the fact that it is theoretically possible to produce any shape without limitations. However, most of the research on additive manufacturing techniques are focused on ...

Additive Manufacturing of Casting Tools Using Powder- Binder-Jetting Technology

This chapter presents the use of the additive manufacturing (AM) method powderbinder-jetting (PBJ) for the generation of molds and cores for casting applications. Theoretical information on process steps and the binding of particles is given. For the based chemistry, examples are presented and the transfer from conventional produc‐ tion processes to powder-binder-jetting is explained. For sand ...

Rational design of binder-free noble metal/metal oxide arrays with nanocauliflower structure for wide linear range nonenzymatic glucose detection

One-dimensional nanocomposites of metal-oxide and noble metal were expected to present superior performance for nonenzymatic glucose detection due to its good conductivity and high catalytic activity inherited from noble metal and metal oxide respectively. As a proof of concept, we synthesized gold and copper oxide (Au/CuO) composite with unique one-dimensional nanocauliflowers structure. Due t...
